Western's U21 Netball team will become models for an evening as they raise funds to compete at the 2009 New Zealand Age Group Championships.
Held at the Hotel Coachman, Palmerston North, on June 19th, 'Trackies to Terrific' is a fantastic evening of entertainment including a fashion parade with clothes from Reve, makeovers and reveals of two local netball personalities and a silent auction.
The makeovers may not be extreme but the results will be fabulous! The two candidates who have agreed to Reve, Pania Ryan Beauty and Silver Scissors hair salon having full control over their looks are Annette Pearce, Head Coach of Western One and Linda Liggins, Umpire Coordinator for Western and Manawatu. Linda says, "I am extremely excited to see what they will do, it's a real treat, especially as its my birthday the day beforehand". Both Annette and Linda will be made over back stage and 'revealed' late in the evening.
The silent auction will also keep guests entertained on the night. It includes a huge range of items which are surely to be hotly contested - these range from butchered beef packs, New World gift baskets, gym memberships, Pulse tickets to a variety of vouchers.
The Western U21 team are thrilled they can raise funds for their tournament in such a novel way and they look forward to 'modelling' for their supporters on the night - it will be a very unique experience!
The New Zealand Age Group Championships will be held at Trusts Stadium, Waitakere City from July 6-9. For further details and how to purchase tickets please check out our flier - event flier a4
